Finally Framing a Floor

Months of preparation culminated on the final weekend of 2016.  My son and I met the lumber yard delivery truck and headed out to the homestead.  There were a few moments of uncertainty when we rounded a bend on the main road to our land only to see a barricade of State Police due to a wildfire.  The road was closed, the lumber delivery truck had to be back in 2 hours and they were closing for the long New Years Weekend at 5.  Thankfully the truck driver was the man.  He'd been burning up those roads for 40 years and knew just the right dirt road to get us around the Police.

My son and I camped that night and (barely) slept.  It turned out to be extremely windy in our open air shelter...and I couldn't wait to get started in the morning.

Saturday the real shenanigans ensued as 3 Computer Geeks and 1 guy that knew what he was doing commenced to framing.  I assure you, I was not the one that knew what he was doing.  I could not have done this without the help of these buddies.  I am eternally grateful for your help.  Thanks men.

Much work remains but we are closer now that we've ever been.  I will correct a few things before finishing the floor but I fully expect to be preparing to frame walls in the next 30-45 days.
